SRIDEV MOOKERJEA

Sridev Mookerjea has the exposure and qualification in most spectrums of the shipping and maritime industry.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, Fellow of the Royal Institute of Naval Architects, Fellow of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, Member of Institute of Mechanical Engineers, Chartered Engineer (UK), Lead Auditor (QMS 2008) of the International Register of Certified Auditors (UK), Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers and MBA (UK).

Dynamic person with over twenty-five years of experience in various well reputed and large multi-national Shipping Companies holding positions of high responsibilities such as Director and Chief Executive Officer.
He has many industrial activities and was the former (2000/2001) Chairman of the Singapore Branch of and the Institute of Marine Engineers (London), current President (2008-2018) of the University of Hull (UK) Alumni, Executive Committee member of the Institute of Chartered Ship-brokers (London) local branch, Past (2009-2013) President & current Advisor (2013-2018) of the local ‘British Alumni’, Past Vice-President and current Hon. Secretary of the Alumni International of Singapore and a Board Member of ‘Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry’ (2018-2020).

He has been a Speaker and Panelist in many seminars (local and overseas), on special invitation including at World Economic Forums.
​
He is a Recipient of President’s Award in recognition of outstanding Services to The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (UK). He is also listed in International Who’s who of Professionals (1999) in recognition of highly outstanding professional and civic achievements.

He has been running his own business (Chairman & Group Managing Director –Blossom Group) of Ship owning and Ship Management since 2003.

GRACE ONG

Grace Ong is currently heading the business development and operations of an engineering and consultancy company, Kaeser Gastechnik Singapore Pte Ltd, which tailors turnkey solutions from system design to installation & commissioning in the speciality gases and hazardous materials applications across the scientific, research and high-tech manufacturing industries.
Grace was instrumental in creating new business portfolios whereby the company had won many local engineering contract works arising from private-public collaborative research and development projects at Universities. In 2016, her company has directly won a contract from a MNC listed as the Global Top 100 Low-Carbon Pioneer by CNBC European Business magazine. In 2017, she helped create a new business portfolio involving a fire-testing laboratory facility setup at an autonomous Singapore University established in 2007. More recently in 2018, her company successfully won a significant public tender over other strong competitors. The project won involved the design, supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of speciality gas detection system in another autonomous university in Singapore.

Grace received her B.Sc. (Merit) at The National University of Singapore and her Masters of Business Administration at The University of Adelaide. She was awarded the Head of Business School’s Top Graduates in 2011.

Grace has 12 years’ of extensive public sector experience and she has contributed significantly from various leadership appointments in developing capabilities and building effective alliances with many stakeholders across areas of security, regulations, operations management & planning, intelligence, research & analysis, investigations, enforcement, training, business continuity & crisis management, policy formulations and customer relations.

In recognition, she received various Ministry’s, Minister’s Awards and Commissioner’s Commendations for outstanding leadership, successful detection of syndicated human smuggling activities, operational excellence, innovative initiatives that benefitted the department’s operational effectiveness and many others. Other notable achievements include endorsed reviews at Ministry level.
​
Grace also serves on the Australian Alumni Singapore (AAS) since 2015 as AAS Ambassador and Chair of Stakeholder Engagement. She is currently elected as the Secretary of AAS in 2018/2019. She is concurrently serving on the Management Committee of Alumni International Singapore as an active member since April 2017. Prior to that, she has served as the Vice-President of the Adelaide University Alumni Association of Singapore for 4 years from 2012 to 2015.

ROBERT KIMMEL

Robert Kimmel is a member of the Department of Finance at NUS Business School at National University of Singapore. His research is related to financial econometrics and derivatives pricing, and he has taught at the BBA, MS, and PhD levels.  At various times, he held the position of Head of Department, Finance, and Deputy Director of Research, NUS Risk Management Institute.

DR. WONG WAI NAM, PBM

Dr Wong holds a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering (1969), M.Eng in Systems Engineering & Management (1973), Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (1979), and Ph.D in Total Quality Management (1999). He was also trained in Japan Productivity Centre in Productivity & Quality Management in 1983 and 1986.

Being the Director of Local Enterprise Development Centre in SPRING Singapore, his duty was to raise the competitiveness of Singapore enterprises through assessment, training and consultancy in productivity improvement since 1973. He was also involved in Singapore Quality Award (SQA) assessment for local enterprises. He received his Efficiency Medal (PB) from Singapore President during the 1993 National Day for his excellent contribution to the development of Singapore Industries.

Since 2001, he has successfully lectured, tutored and supervised a range of students from bachelor degree to doctoral candidates with Australia and UK Universities. Furthermore, he has been involved in community work since 1989 and received The Public Service Medal (PBM) from Singapore President during the 2012 National Day. Based on his contributions to Singapore industry development and community as well as his research development, he received the distinguished alumni award from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand on 3rd November 2018.

HORACE TAN
AIS Immediate Past President, CAS Representative
Horace Tan graduated with a BAS (Hons) 1988 from York University (YU), and MBA 1991 from University of Windsor (UW). Both Universities are in Canada. He is a Past President of: 1) Asian Students Association in UW; 2) YU Alumni in Singapore; and 3) Canadian Alumni Singapore (CA-S). He first served as a CA-S representative in Alumni International Singapore in the late 1990s and took on various posts before becoming the current President. He is active in social work and in helping to uplift the lives of the underprivileged. In March 2018, he was re-elected President of a 50 year old Lions Club Chapter in Singapore.

Horace worked in various industries: 1) Education in UW; 2) Banking in Toronto-Dominion Bank; 3) Utilities in Physical Plant of YU; 4) Retail in Sony Indonesia; 5) Manufacturing of Garments and Shoes in Indonesia and Manufacturing of Electrical products in Malaysia and China. He has lived and managed businesses in Canada, Indonesia, Malaysia and China. Horace lives with his 91 year old mother. He manages a number of family owned private properties in Singapore where he holds various posts in some of the MCST councils.

RENNIEÂ SNG
AAS Representative
Rennie has 17+ years global work experience largely divided between Banking & Finance and High Tech industries, e.g., Citibank, Hitachi Asia, BT Frontline Technologies, etc. At Citibank, Rennie was ranked Top 2% amongst his peers. He steered his portfolio well during the tumultuous 2007/8 financial crisis. He managed Ultra High Net-worth and Institutional Investor Relations, with Assets Under Management worth USD200,000,000. Rennie is a private investor, business consultant and an advocate of Blockchain-based Fundraising, Internet-of-Things and Artificial Intelligence.
He has been serving on the AAS Management Committeesince October 2017.

He is a pioneering member of the Advisory Board for Murdoch Singapore Academic Board, which is a part of the Transnational Academic Committee of Murdoch University. The Board meets regularly, reviews and makes recommendations to ensure that consistent academic standards and high quality student experiences are maintained in all programs and courses. Through regular feedback, Murdoch University had since opened a local office in Mar 2017 and had appointed a Singapore Dean.

He is now the Chapter Advisor and immediate past president of Murdoch University Alumni Singapore Chapter. He chaired popular annual CSR events – Murdoch SHARES! – whereby alumni get to volunteer and participate in giving back to the disadvantaged. Rennie had received numerous Certificates of Appreciation for his leadership and years of contribution to his alumni. He is also an active Executive Committee Member with Alumni International Singapore.

He is a Singapore Armed Forces Reservist on Voluntary Extended Reserve Service (ROVERS). He is a senior military officer with 20+ years in military leadership positions.
Rennie enjoys his wine and plays golf occasionally. Rennie graduated with a Bachelor of Communication Studies degree from Murdoch University. He is also an alumnus of Oklahoma City University, USA and Management Development Institute of Singapore.
